  Eligibility Evaluation: Officially launched in 2011, it mainly aims at approximately 300 newly-built HEIs upon approval since 2000. By the end of 2019, a total of 250 institutions have participated in eligibility Evaluation. Taking national standards and requirements as “basic scale”, it puts emphasis on assessing the fundamental school-running conditions, teaching management and teaching quality of the HEIs, and guides them to cultivate practice-oriented talents for local economic and social development.

  Audit: Officially launched in 2013, it mainly aims at HEIs that have passed the 1st round evaluation. By the end of 2019, more than 800 HEIs have participated in the audit. It emphasizes that HEIs shall “make measurement based on their own standards”, focuses on the degree that the school-running orientation and talent cultivation objectives meet the national and regional economic and social development demands, the guarantee degree of teachers and teaching resources, the validity of teaching and operation of quality assurance system, as well as the satisfaction degree of students and employers.
